The Handlers’ Racing Association at the Bremerton Raceway, is celebrating 54 years of drag racing this weekend with the 19th Annual Nostalgia Drags and Car Show.
Gates open Friday at 3 p.m. for a Street Legal Test & Tune. Racing will begin at 4 pm. Tech cards are $27 for car and driver. Gate admission is $12 for adults, $10 for active duty military and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. Long pants, shoes, socks and t-shirt length sleeves must be worn by each occupant in the vehicle.
Saturday will be the 19th Annual Nostalgia Drags and Car Show sponsored by Wishkah River Distillery. Gates open at 8 a.m.
There will be 7 drag brackets: Inline/Flatheads (No Electronics), Hot Rod II (1959& Older/12.00 & Slower), Street Machine II (1960-1980/12.00 & Slower), Hot Rod I (1959 & Older/7.00-11.99), Street Machine I (1960-1980/7.00-11.99), Top Gas (1975 & Older/Electronics with Crosstalk) and Dragster & Roadster.
All Brackets are subject to change. Pro Nostalgia Association will be qualifying at noon and 3 p.m on Saturday. Joining in is the Northwest Nostalgia Tour, Pacific Northwest Super Comp Association and BC Super Shifters.
The Car Show will feature Nostalgia vehicles. Registration begins at 8 a. m. The Car Show awards presentation will be after 1:30 p.m.
There will be trophies for Best of Show, People’s Choice, Best Cruiser, Best Race Car, Best Truck, Best Rust Bucket and Best Muscle Car.
Admission to the car show is free with your paid gate admission.Sunday gates open at 8 a.m. for the second day of Nostalgia Racing. Time Trials will be from 9 a.m. until noon, with eliminations in the afternoon.
Pro Nostalgia will be running at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Northwest Nostalgia Tour, Pacific Northwest Super Comp Association and BC Super Shifters will be having their second day of competition. Gate admission is $17 per person, senior citizens (65+) and active duty military is $15, children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
Drag Racing will be $45 for car and driver per day and $55 for Northwest Nostalgia Tour. This event is limited to 1980 and older vehicles.
