On Tuesday, Timothy Ray Richardson, 39, co-owner of Wangz N Thangs was arrested under probable cause for child molestation, first degree and rape of a child, second degree. Richardson had been previously arrested for warrants for human trafficking in Bremerton in 2009 and was convicted in California for the offense, according to a Bremerton Police Department report.
A female relative, 13, relayed information to an adult who in turn contacted authorities that she had been allegedly molested. The child was taken into protective custody where she was interviewed about the incident. The child stated the molestation started in California when she was 11 when Richardson would “come into her room at night and touch her vagina and breasts.” It continued to happen even after the family moved to Bremerton from California.
Based on information in the charging documents, during incidents of molestation, Richardson would tell the relative “you’re mine” when she told him his touching made her uncomfortable, states a Bremerton Police Department report. The child also told detectives she was taken to his restaurant where he “laid a coat on the floor” and “would turn off the camera because his wife has the ability to watch the cameras on the internet” before performing oral sex on her.
Richardson also told the victim he would take her virginity. Richardson told her he would be pulling her out of school early Tuesday while touching her inappropriately over her clothing. He also stopped by his restaurant, where he dropped a condom on the floor, which led her to believe he would take her virginity after school. She called her biological mother in California who in turn told her to speak with a counselor, “which led to police involvement,” states the report.
Richardson “admitted to having several affairs, including having sex with several women at his business.” He also admitted to “dropping a condom” off at his restaurant, but stated that he was going to use it when he met his girlfriend at a motel later today. After having intercourse, Richardson “ended up going to the emergency room around noon, where he remained until shortly after his arrest,” states the report.
Richardson denied all the allegations.
