The Bainbridge Spartans defeated the Kingston Buccaneers 28-14 Friday.
It was a tough uphill loss for the Buccaneers, with the Spartans starting off with a quick first-quarter field goal to remain on top 10-7 at halftime.
Kingston was plagued by penalties (at least four), turnovers, incomplete passing and a challenged ground defense that gave Bainbridge Island a decisive 28-7 lead late in the fourth quarter. Kingston came back for their second touchdown minutes before the game ended after they managed to connect well with their passing game.
