The Central Kitsap Community Council will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Silverdale Water District office at 5300 NW Newberry Hill Rd.
The council has asked for reports from Kitsap County officials on two initiatives — the Bucklin Hill Bridge Project and the proposed countywide non-motorized plan.
Tina Nelson, senior project manager, will provide the council with an update on the 90 percent design for the bridge.
Eric Baker, Kitsap County special projects manager, will present an outline of the new non-motorized plan.
There will be an opportunity for Central Kitsap residents to weigh in with their comments and suggestions on both of these issues.
A short presentation by Anne Lunden who is involved with the new Silverdale Library initiative will follow.
Lunden will present the group’s mission statement and discuss an outline for a plan of work with the council.
The meeting will be in the community room.
