Bainbridge Island police arrested a burglary suspect at a Suquamish residence Monday, following search efforts that took much of the afternoon.
According to the Bainbridge Island Police Department, the suspect burglarized at least one waterfront residence in the Port Madison area and was later reportedly seen near Agate Point, looking into the window of a home. At about 2:15 p.m. Monday, BIPD urged people near Bloedel Reserve to stay inside by while a K-9 team searched for the suspect.
Around 6 p.m., police located the suspect in Suquamish and arrested him without incident.
“Thank you for the sighting reports — they assisted greatly,” a BIPD Facebook post read following the incident.
