Busy day for Poulsbo, North Kitsap firefighters

House fire in Lemolo, stump pile fire near Hansville

POULSBO – Firefighters from multiple agencies fought two fires in North Kitsap Jan. 14 – one a house fire on Lemolo Shore Drive, the other a stump pile fire near the Hansville transfer station.

North Kitsap Fire & Rescue firefighters had contained the stump pile fire around noon, but reported that the fire was “stubborn,” so firefighters would likely be on scene throughout the day.

Just after 2 p.m., firefighters from Poulsbo Fire, North Kitsap Fire, and Bainbridge Island Fire went to the scene of a house fire on Lemolo Shore Drive. The home suffered moderate smoke damage; fire damage was limited to an exterior wall, deck and roof structure, the department reported.
