Butterfly Ball will raise money for crisis nursery | Kitsap Week

Kaelyn Serene Bray was born on Aug. 2, 2006. She died on March 1, 2010, three days after being severely beaten by her mother’s boyfriend. In her memory, The Dandelion Foundation is presenting the third annual Butterfly Ball 5-9 p.m. Aug. 2 at Gold Mountain Golf & Country Club, 7263 W. Belfair Valley Road, Bremerton.

BREMERTON — Kaelyn Serene Bray was born on Aug. 2, 2006.

She died on March 1, 2010, three days after being severely beaten by her mother’s boyfriend.

In her memory, The Dandelion Foundation is presenting the third annual Butterfly Ball 5-9 p.m. Aug. 2 at Gold Mountain Golf & Country Club, 7263 W. Belfair Valley Road, Bremerton.

Tickets are $35 per person, $10 for those 10 and younger. Proceeds will help establish Kaelyn’s Korner, Kitsap County’s first crisis nursery.

Tickets include buffet dinner featuring Baron of Beef and chicken skewers; children’s meal; silent auction; and a prize for “Belle of the Ball,” so come dressed in your formal best.

Tickets can be purchased at 6th and Java Coffee Stand on 6th and Naval Avenue in Bremerton; and Salon Pettirosso or Rose’s Nails on Bay Street in downtown Port Orchard.
