” CALENDAR THURSDAY 11 SUNRISE SERVICE: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport hosts a sunrise service in honor of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Pastor Sam Racher, Jr. Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Bremerton, will be the keynote speaker. Music is by the Naval Band Northwest Region. The ceremony is open to the public. Admission and parking are free. MONDAY 15 RESIST TRIDENT: Ground Zero is hosting Nonviolence training and a discussion from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A nonviolent witness will begin at 1:30 p.m. Gather at the Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action, 15159 Clear Creek Rd. The group will discuss plans for meeting rooms in the basement of the new library. THURSDAY 18 RAINBOWS: Meetings of a group of children, youth and parents who are coping with divorce or death of a loved one will be held every Thursday evening for eight weeks beginning Jan. 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Religious Education Building at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church, 18943 Caldart Ave. Trained volunteers lead separate groups for different age groups. FRIDAY 19 WEST SOUND ACADEMY: Neil Simon’s comedy, The Good Doctor will be presented by West Sound Academy at the Bainbridge Island Playhouse (across from Bainbridge Cinema on Madison Avenue), Jan 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 20 at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $8, $6 seniors and children. AUDITIONS: Kitsap Children’s Musical Theatre is hosting auditions for the musical production of OZ! from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wolfle Elementary School in Kingston.
