CALLING ALL GOBLINS: From 3:30-5 p.m. Oct. 31 Poulsbo Parks and Recreation is hosting a preschool Halloween party. Activities for preschoolers include crafts, carnival games, cookie walk, face painting and snacks. Admission is free for preschoolers. CHRISTMAS BAZAAR : Choose from more than 40 vendors offering a wide variety of hand-crafted items at the Poulsbo First Lutheran Christmas Bazaar. The bazaar will be Friday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, Nov.1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Christian Center. No admission fee. First Lutheran Church is located at 18920 4th Ave.
HISTORY BOOK: The deadline to submit a design for the cover of the Friends of Poulsbo history book is Nov. 1. Regional residents are invited to submit scans or photographs of visual artwork, including: original graphic design, painting, drawing, photography, collage, or other visual medium to be considered for the final cover of the book. Emphasis should be placed on capturing the colorful history, culture and community of Poulsbo. Design may be historical or contemporary in nature or a combination of both. BIZ BUILDERS: The Poulsbo Dynamic chapter of Biz Builders has moved its meeting location to Emily¹s Bistro on Powder Hill in Poulsbo. The group now meets at Emily¹s every Tuesday from 11:05 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. for business networking and to participate in professional development discussions and presentations. SALSA DANCING: Malo and Rose Castro offer salsa dancing classes in Poulsbo, including the meringue, salsa, and the cha-cha. Singles or couples welcome. FISH PARK: The monthly work parties at Poulsbo’s Fish Park will be the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning Sept. 20. The public is welcome to join in to help this nature park grow into an urban experience for all to enjoy. HISTORICAL SOCIETY: The Kingston Historical Society meets in the Indianola Room of the Kingston Community Center at 10 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month from January to October. The group works to collect stories and preserve pictures of Kingston and its vicinity. Visitors are welcome.
