FESTIVAL OF THE TABLE: The Suquamish United Church of Christ is holding a “Festival of the Table” today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring a silent auction of creative centerpieces and gift baskets sponsored by local businesses and individuals. It will also include a bakesale of Christmas goodies, fresh evergreen swags, handmade gifts, books and collectable bargains. Proceeds will go to community non-profits in Suquamish and Poulsbo. FRUITCAKE CONTEST: The Port Gamble Country Christmas is hosting its homemade fruitcake contest. Bring your fruitcakes to the Port Gamble Conference room on Dec. 13 by 1 p.m. The contest will start at 1 p.m. Winner will be announced later that day. For more information: www.portgamble.com.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT: First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo will present its annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Featured groups include the Cathedral Choir, Liberty Bells and more. A variety of songs will be performed and the audience will be invited to join in. There will be a freewill offering. POULSBO HISTORICAL SOCIETY: The Poulsbo Historical Society will not meet in December. The speaker for the Jan. 13, 2009 meeting will be Jerry Deeter from the Kitsap County Health District. Membership meetings are held at the Sons of Norway Hall at 9:30 a.m. every second Tuesday except during the months of August and December.

BIZ BUILDERS: The Poulsbo Dynamic chapter of Biz Builders has moved its meeting location to Emily’s Bistro on Powder Hill in Poulsbo. FISH PARK: The monthly work parties at Poulsbo’s Fish Park will be the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is welcome to join in to help this nature park grow into an urban experience for all to enjoy.
