GEOGRAPHICALLY SPEAKING: Pastor Don Jukam of Poulsbo First Lutheran Church will present the first in a series of classes on how the geography and culture of the Holy Land helps us understand the original meaning of many passages of Scripture. TOWN HALL MEETING: The 23rd District delegation of state lawmakers will host a town hall meeting from 9:30-11 a.m. March 14 at the Kingston Fire Station, 26642 Miller Bay Road NE. Sen. Phil Rockefeller and reps. Sherry Appleton and Christine Rolfes invite the community to join them to discuss the issues facing the 23rd District and the state as a whole. ST. PATRICK’S DAY DINNER: The Poulsbo Noon Lions Club will host a St. Patrick’s Dinner Celebration from 5-7 p.m. March 14 at the First Lutheran Christian Center, 18920 4th Ave NE, Poulsbo. JOE PISCATELLA: Joe Piscatella, noted health author, will speak at 3 p.m. March 22 at Martha & Mary’s eighth annual Generations Luncheon and Silent Auction at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo. Piscatella’s address is titled “Take a Load Off Your Heart: Stress Management for Bailout Times.”

HANSVILLE PRESCHOOL AUCTION: Hansville Preschool will host an auction from 3-6 p.m. March 28 at the Greater Hansville Community Center. Items range from Mariner’s tickets to gift certificates for massages. From 3-4 p.m. there will be face painting and salsa dance lessons will be from 4-4:45 p.m.

EARTH DAY EVENT: Vinland Lutheran Preschool will host an Earth Day event from 1-3 p.m. April 18 at the school, 2750 NW Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo.
