Richard “Dick” Mace of Poulsbo, died Sept. 7 of natural causes.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anne, in addition his children, Katherine, Jon, Marian, Alan, Elizabeth and Tim; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Dick’s granddaughter, Sarah, preceded him in death.
Dick worked at the Keyport Torpedo Station, Bangor Naval Base and McLoughlin Research Corporation-Honeywell in Poulsbo. Dick is considered one of the founding fathers of Faith Episcopal Church, formally known as St. Charles Episcopal Church, which he helped construct in the 1970s.
Dick volunteered at the Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport and as a tutor for local students in math and science.
