POULSBO — It’s going to be chilly tonight. It could be cold enough that the North Kitsap area may see some lowland snow.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60 percent chance of precipitation in Poulsbo. Rain showers are likely Dec. 17 before 10 p.m., with rain and snow between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. A chance of snow remains after 4 a.m.
Snow accumulation is expected to be less than half an inch.
According to the National Weather Service, the snow level is dropping from 700 feet to sea level. Temperatures are expected to drop to 31 degrees Fahrenheit, with winds from 16 to 20 mph.
There is a chance of snow until about 10 a.m. Dec. 18, with a chance of rain until 4 p.m. Snow level will rise to about 300 feet.
The snow level is expected to remain at 300 feet the night of Dec. 18, with a low of 33 degrees. There is little or no snow accumulation expected.
The chance of precipitation is higher in other areas, though snow accumulation remains at less than half an inch, according to the weather service.
There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation in Port Gamble and Hansville and 70 percent chance in Kingston.
