DURANGO, Colorado — Christina Demmert of Kingston graduated from Fort Lewis College on Dec. 19.

Demmert received a bachelor’s degree with a major in English.

More than 200 students participated in the ceremony. The commencement address was offered by Lee Frazer, the college’s assistant professor of adventure education.

According to the college, its blend of small classes, “dynamic academic programs, and a liberal arts perspective leads to transformative learning experiences that foster entrepreneurship, leadership, creative problem solving, and life-long learning.” The campus is located on a mesa above historic Durango, Colorado.
