Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue, in conjunction with local organizations and businesses, will host the 23rd annual Kids’ Day from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7 in the President’s Hall at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.
The free event gives families an opportunity to learn safety and health tips as well as watch various demonstrations throughout the day. In addition to live fire demonstrations and vehicle extrications, the Ride and Glide Stunt Team will perform daring tricks and spread a message about bicycle safety.
Parents and children can practice using a fire extinguisher on “real flames,” play Frisbee golf and get fitted with a new bicycle helmet at Kids’ Day.
More than 45 booths will provide fire and life safety information and children can meet Sparky the Fire Dog and his buddies, the Bloodhound Rescue Dogs.
