The Central Kitsap School District will meet for a presentation of the final budget for the 2013-2014 school year on Wednesday.

If all goes well, the district is expecting to face a year of minimal reductions. The final budget will be adopted by CKSD board members on Aug. 28.

Some of the capital projects budgeted for the upcoming year include Brownsville Elementary play field repair, Clear Creek Elementary improvements, Emerald Heights Elementary envelope and roof, Jackson Park Elementary replacement, Silverdale Elementary renovations, Central Kitsap High School HVAC, Silverdale Stadium envelope and scoreboard, district technology, project management, flooring and emergent critical repairs for an estimated total of $27,689,268.

Other agenda items include discussion of several donations, recurring annual contracts and agreements and facilities and construction contracts and agreements.

CKSD board members will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the CKSD School District Administration Building, 9210 Silverdale Way NW, Silverdale.
