Clear Creek Trail set to celebrate National Trails Day

The Clear Creek Task Force will celebrate National Trails Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7. The task force will host family day around the Clear Creek Saq’ad Interpretive Center with guided trail walks, an “I-Spy” guide for children with prizes for those finding all items, birding with the Audubon Society, a lemonade stand with St. Antony’s volunteers as well as fish painting, pine cone toss and magic fishing poles.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7, the Kitsap Mountaineers will organize and clean up the Old Mill Park beach and continue blackberry and scotch broom control. Volunteers are welcome to join in and should bring their own gloves and tools. Trash bags will be provided.

There is limited parking at Old Mill Park, so volunteers are encouraged to park at the Clear Creek Interpretive Center’s weekend parking lot and walk over to the Old Mill parking lot to sign in.
