Due to expected below freezing weather conditions, the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management has activated the county’s Severe Weather Shelter Plan.

The shelter will open nightly Thursday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 16.

Hours of operation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. each night. Guests will not be able to check into the shelter after 10 p.m..

The location is at Bremerton Food Line, 1600 12th St., Bremerton.

The shelter will serve all citizens in our area who require safe overnight refuge where none is available. Further activations will be weather dependent. Stay tuned.
