The remaining two Kitsap County Commissioners are expected to announce on Monday who will take Josh Brown’s seat on the commission.

Commissioners Robert Gelder and Charlotte Garrido will meet in executive session on Monday at 3 p.m. Following that, at 4 p.m., a regular session will begin when the two will announce their decision.

Under consideration for the position are three nominees from the Kitsap County Democratic Party.

The three were chosen during meeting of the precinct committee officers last month. They are Leslie Daugs, a current Bremerton city councilwoman, Irene Bowling, a local businesswoman and piano teacher, and Linda Streissguth, a manager with Puget Sound Energy.

Daugs was the top nominee and is expected to be appointed to the position that represents Central Kitsap.

Brown has now begun his new job as executive director for the Puget Sound Regional Council in Seattle.

The commission meets in the commission chambers at the county administrative building, 619 Division St., Port Orchard.
