EARTH SPEAKER: David Korten, author of “The Great Turning-From Empire to Earth Community,” will speak at 7 p.m. May 19 at the Suquamish United Church of Christ. VIKING FEST: The Poulsbo Noon Lions pancake breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. at the Poulsbo Armory to kick off the second day of Viking Fest. The 29th annual Viking Fest Road Race will be from 7:30-11 a.m. Check-in is at Lions Park with an awards ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Kvelstad Pavilion. The Poulsbo Marine Science Center will be on display from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The parade is set for 2 p.m. in downtown.

FASHION SHOW: There will be a fashion show to benefit the Kitsap Foster Care Association at 3 p.m. May 20 at the Kingston Community Center. Information: Stacy at (360) 297-6721.

VIKING FEST: The final day of the 39th annual Viking Fest will be highlighted by the lutefisk eating contest at 2 p.m. at the Kvelstad Pavilion. Registration is $10, and all contestants must sign up before noon at the Viking Fest information booth. The Poulsbo Marine Science Center will be on display from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

GOSPEL WORKSHOP: Bayside Community Church is hosting a benefit gospel music workshop and concert June 2. The workshop will be led by the Total Experience Gospel Choir from 1-5 p.m. A public concert will follow at 7 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $20, which includes dinner and concert.
