Navy diving suits exhibit at Naval Undersea Museum:
The Naval Undersea Museum at Keyport will open its new exhibit, “The Skin They’re In: U.S. Navy Diving Suits,” at 2 p.m. Saturday. The exhibit will include historic and contemporary photographs, documents, interviews and objects. It will explore the suits Navy divers use in their work ranging from the Arctic waters to combat zones in the Indian Ocean. Museum hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. It is closed on Thursdays. Admission is free. The museum is located at 1 Garnett Way, Keyport.
Easter musical at Crossroads Neighborhood Church:
Crossroads Neighborhood Church will present “The Choice,” a musical for Easter at 7:30 p.m. April 22 and 23 at the church, 7555 Old Military Road, Bremerton. Admission is by donation and half of the proceeds will benefit Coffee Oasis for homeless teens.
Bremerton District 4 meeting
An earthquake readiness presentation is scheduled for the district 4 meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 18 in the meeting chamber of the Norm Dicks Government Center, 345 Sixth Street, Bremerton. Susan May from the county Department of Emergency Management will give a presentation on earthquake preparedness.
Military Officer’s Association of America meeting
The Kitsap chapter of the Military Officer’s Association of America will hold its annual meeting Friday, April 22 at the Elks Lodge, 4131 Pine Road NE, Bremerton. A social hour will begin at 11 a.m. followed by the luncheon and program at noon. Retired Lt. Cmdr. Donald R. Davis of the Medical Service Corps will be the guest speaker for the program. Miss West Sound Scholarship Program accepting applications
The Miss West Sound Scholarship Program is accepting applications for its 2012 competition through April 30, 2011. The pageant will be at the Admiral Theatre in Bremerton Nov. 12. Young women between the ages of 17 and 24 who are residents, full-time students or employed full-time in Kitsap County are eligible to apply for the competition. Contestants will be judged in a private interview, physical fitness/swimsuit, talent, evening wear and on-stage question session. The winner will represent the county throughout the following year as Miss West Sound and have the opportunity to compete at the Miss Washington Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to Miss America.

Chuckwagon Senior Nutrition Program Easter lunch:
Chuckwagon Senior Nutrition Program invites seniors age 60 and older to Easter lunch at noon Thursday, April 21. The lunch will be served at the Bremerton Senior Center, Pinewood Manor Apartments in East Bremerton and Silverdale United Methodist Church. The menu will be marinated green bean salad, ham slice, cranberry sauce, red potatoes, peas and onions, raisin bread and salad. There is a $3 suggested donation.
