PORT ORCHARD — Kitsap County’s Department of Community Development will host hosting three open houses so the public can learn about the Comprehensive Plan Update.

The Comprehensive Plan guides county decisions and services on a wide range of topics including housing, transportation, land use, parks, natural environment and more.

The draft documents and materials will be posted for public review and comment on Nov. 6 at www.compplan.kitsapgov.com.

Written comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Comments may be submitted online; by email to compplan@co.kitsap.wa.us; handed in to the DCD front counter at 619 Division St., Port Orchard; or postmarked by Dec. 7 and mailed to Comprehensive Plan Update, Planning and Environmental Programs Division, DCD, MS-36, 614 Division St., Port Orchard,  WA 98366.

Nov. 10: 5-7 p.m., Kitsap County Administration Building Commission Chambers, 619 Division St., Port Orchard.

Nov. 12: 5-7 p.m., Poulsbo City Hall Council Chambers, 200 Moe St.

Nov. 16: 5-7 p.m., Silverdale Beach Hotel, 3073 NW Bucklin Hill Road, Silverdale.
