The following cases were filed in Kitsap County District Court:

• A 24-year-old Bremerton man was charged with DUI, hit-and-run and disorderly conduct. A deputy responded to a report of a unknown man who had allegedly followed two children near Erlands Point Road April 21. The children ran away and their aunt called 911. As the deputy searched for the man, a blue GMC Sierra full size pickup truck began tailgating the deputy’s vehicle, driving three feet away from his bumper at 30 mph. The deputy pulled the man over and saw that he matched the description of the luring suspect. The truck had fresh impact damage and at that time another deputy was investigating a power pole that had been knocked down on Dyes Inlet Road. When asked about the luring incident, the man said, “I followed them.”  The driver had bloodshot eyes, slurred his speech and told a trooper he had not been drinking. The man failed a field sobriety test and had a BAC of .112. The man denied striking the power pole and said he had crashed into trash cans. The man’s truck, however, had damage consistent with striking the pole including pieces of wood stuck onto the truck.

He is allegedly involved in 17 burglaries that took place in Silverdale between Feb. 25 and April 15. Affected businesses include food establishments, nail salons, barber ships and bicycle shops. Forced entry was used to gain access to the businesses. He was arrested April 19. Bail was set at $75,000.

• A 26-year-old Bremerton man was charged with trafficking in stolen property in the first degree. He allegedly repeatedly stole video games from Poulsbo Walmart and re-sold them at the nearby GameStop. Walmart employees caught the man, who began screaming and fighting in the store April 21. According to court documents, he tried to steal more than $400 worth of games the day he was arrested. He told Poulsbo Police that he stole the games because he was addicted to drugs.

• A 58-year-old Bremerton man was charged with DUI after he allegedly crashed his gray Dodge Ram pickup truck into a parked vehicle at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino parking garage April 22. The man stumbled, smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. The man told a Suquamish Police Department officer he hit the car and said he would pay for the damage and said he needed to go inside the casino because he had friends waiting for him. A trooper was called to investigate. The man refused to take the field sobriety tests and was arrested. The man became agitated and asked why he was being arrested. The trooper read him the Miranda warnings and asked the man if he understood. “I don’t understand anything, I’m too drunk,” the man replied. The man repeatedly asked that his handcuffs be removed because they were too tight, adding that he had no intention of fighting if they were removed. The trooper learned the man had a prior DUI from 2007. The man asked the trooper if he could be cut “some kind of a break” but once he learned that would not happen, the man became more hostile and repeatedly cursed the trooper. The man has a BAC of .249.

• A 53-year-old Bremerton man was charged with DUI after he nearly drove his car into sheriff’s vehicles and Bremerton police vehicles on Chico Way April 24. The officers were conducting an unrelated assault investigation and had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck by the man’s vehicle. A deputy pulled the man over. The man apologized and said he did not see the officers. “I asked him how he did not see a large group of police cars with their emergency lights on. (The man) said he didn’t know,” the deputy wrote. The man said he drank six beers. His BAC was .123.
