Domestic violence; violating court-mandated protection order; failure to register.

The following cases were filed in Kitsap County District Court:

A 24-year-old Port Orchard man was charged with a single count of domestic violence for  allegedly attacking his female partner with a deadly weapon between June 23 and 30, 2016. He had been convicted of similar, “most serious” offenses on two separate occasions in the past.

A 60-year-old Port Orchard man was charged with a felony by violating a court-mandated protection order to maintain distance from a family member on June 30.

John M. Martinson, a 32-year-old convicted sex offender, was charged with felony failure to register as a sex offender when he changed his name without telling KCSO.

A 19-year-old suspect was charged in Kitsap County District Court with felony possession of methamphetamines and/or materials necessary for manufacture. In a separate case, a 34-year-old suspect was charged with the same felony of possession of a controlled substance.

A 45-year-old Kitsap County man was charged with felony harassment for threatening a county employee in discharge of his duties, causing the employee to believe he was being threatened with serious bodily harm.

A 26-year-old man was charged with the “special, serious” felony offense of domestic violence when he attempted to strangle his partner.

— A 71-year-old Kitsap County man was charged with felony domestic violence for attacking his wife on July 3, 2016.

— A 35-year-old Port Orchard has been charged with felony malicious mischief for destroying a female  acquaintance’s physical property, causing more than $750 in damage. The incident took place on July 1, 2016. No motive was given for the mayhem.

— A 34-year-old Kitsap man was charged with felony Criminal Trespass in the second degree. The incident took place on April 14, 2016. No other details were available on the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
