Leighton Asha Burke, 28, of Bremerton, was charged with felony harassment (threats to kill). Burke had been living at the Motel 6 for about a month.

The motel clerk said she was working at the front desk March 1 when Burke asked her to get him an escort or prostitute. The clerk told Burke the hotel didn’t have escorts or prostitutes. Burke then told the clerk to have sex with him for money.

Burke persisted and threatened to kill the clerk. The clerk called 911 and her husband. The husband pushed Burke out of the office and the two men scuffled. Police arrived and arrested Burke, who threatened to kill the officers and their wives. Bail was set at $250,000.
