Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies are currently searching for a 62 -year -old transient male who is wanted for questioning in connection with an assault that occurred early Saturday morning at the Camelot Mobile Home park in East Bremerton.

Haynes has last known to be transient and reportedly lives in his motor home in the East Bremerton area.

Shortly after midnight on Saturday morning, deputies responded to a residence inside the Camelot Mobile Home Park for some follow up investigation to a domestic assault that had occurred there earlier on Friday night. During that initial, unrelated investigation, one subject was arrested and booked into the county jail for domestic violence assault.

When deputies arrived on scene they found that a female guest at the same residence had just suffered a stabbing injury. The victim, a 49-year-old transient woman who frequents the East Bremerton area, was ultimately transported to Harrison Hospital in Bremerton for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Haynes was identified as the suspect in this assault and he had fled the scene in his motor home. He had been at the residence during the initial domestic assault investigation but fled prior to law enforcement arrival because he has outstanding warrants for his arrest. He later returned to the residence and got into an altercation with the victim before leaving again in his white 1983 Itasca motor home bearing Washington license ATK-0330.

Deputies searched the area for the motor home but were unable to locate it initially. A dayshift patrol deputy did locate the motor home not far from the scene at about 6 a.m. Saturday morning, however it was unoccupied. Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office detectives served a search warrant on the motor home later in the morning.
