A Port Orchard man will face a felony charge in connection with threats to kill his parents.
Gabriel Kelly Freiman, 19, has been charged with felony harassment with threat to kill on Nov. 27 in Kitsap County District Court.
Charging papers stated Kitsap County deputies responded to a home on Ridge Rim Drive after the man’s mother called to report her son had broken out a window of her home on Nov. 26.
The man’s mother told deputies he was bipolar and was not taking his medications, and had become extremely violent and out of control because his girlfriend had broken up with him, stated court documents.
According to court records, the mother told deputies that her son had made several threats to kill her and that he burst into her room and jumped on her and her husband in the bed. Freiman placed his father into a choke hold and slapped his mother in the face.
While investigating the incident, deputies found blood and broken glass near the home’s garage and that Freiman had fled into the woods. A K-9 unit was called to the scene and containment units were called to the area. Deputies arrested Freiman and booked him for felony harassment and malicious mischief into the Kitsap County Jail under a $125,000 bail, court records stated.
Charges against the following individuals were filed in Kitsap County District court recently:
Dec. 3: Shannon Dwayne Gerstner, 45, Port Orchard, second-degree assault; Justine Michaelann Sorrentino, 22, Port Orchard, fourth-degree assault;
Jonathan Escobar Karns, 31, Port Orchard, first-degree criminal trespass.
Dec. 2: Deidric Jahleel Harris, 19, Port Orchard, two counts of third-degree driving while license suspended or revoked; James Edward Stansgar, 46, Port Orchard, attempting to elude pursuing police vehicle; Lareudo Terri P. McNeill, 23, Port Orchard, one count of residential burglary and one count of first-degree possession of stolen property; Steven Jackson, 21, Port Orchard, second-degree trafficking in stolen property; Samuel Wilder Fury, 19, Gig Harbor, first-degree trafficking in stolen property; Sebastian Khalil Carroll, 18, transient, failure to register as a sex offender.
Nov. 27: Brooke Angela Martin, 29, Olalla, making false or misleading statement to a public servant; Mateo Felipe Basilio Mateo, 24, Belfair, first-degree driving while license revoked and making false or misleading statement to a public servant.
Nov. 26: Joann Lucille Norton, 27, Port Orchard, physical control of vehicle under the influence.
Nov. 25: Russell Alexander Crawley, 45, Port Orchard, possession of meth; Sarah Marie Clark, 23, Port Orchard, second-degree trafficking in stolen property; Matthew Michael Armstrong, 34, fourth-degree assault.
