Donations, such as backpacks or school supplies, are needed for the annual South Kitsap School District Back-to-School Celebration on Aug. 16 at Joe Knowles Field, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is free to the public and is fully funded through community and partner donations.

During the event, there will be free immunizations, free school supplies, haircuts, dental screenings, entertainment, crafts, bus rides, games, info booths, balloons, parade, treats, give-aways, and more.
