Earth Day events in North Kitsap

Suquamish parade

Suquamish Elementary is holding a “Procession of the Species” parade April 22. Students, teachers and families are encouraged to participate in costume as their favorite species. The parade will begin at the school at 1:30 p.m. and end at the House of Awakened Culture in downtown Suquamish.

Pearson assembly

Parents and community members are invited to attend an “Every Day is Earth Day” assembly and performance from 2:45 to 3:15 p.m. in the Pearson Elementary gym.

Kingston Spring Fest

Northwest celebrity gardener Ciscoe Morris will be on hand again this year for Kingston High School’s Spring Festival. The event runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 24 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 25. Morris will speak at 1 p.m. April 25. Admission is $3.

Stillwaters Eco Fest

EcoFest is a family friendly celebration, with a selection of more than 40 exhibitors and displays. Music, food and kids’ activities will be served up all day. Events run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 24 at Stillwaters Environmental Education Center in Kingston. See www.stillwatersenvironmentalcenter.org for a full schedule.
