Childlike excitement and wonder will bounce across the North End as at least three Easter egg hunts are slated for Saturday.
In Poulsbo, the fun begins at 9:45 a.m. with a handmade Easter basket and Easter bonnet contest as part of the Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Department’s 13th annual Easter Candy Hunt at Raab Park.
The hunt begins at 10:05 a.m. The search will be divided by age groups 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-11 with each group following the other at five minutes intervals. Candy seekers must provide their own bags for their bounty.
The event is free and open to the public and is sponsored the Poulsbo Lions Club, the North Kitsap Rotary and local area merchants. For information, call (360) 779-9898.
At about the same time, Christ Memorial Church will host its own Easter egg hunt at the Christ the King Academy gym. Doors open at 9.30 a.m. and the hunt begins at 10 a.m. The event is for children 10 and younger. For more information call (360) 779-5515 or e-mail michelle.white@christmemorial.net.
Kingston is gearing up for its own visit from the Easter Bunny with an egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kola Kole Park on State Route 104. The event will be for children between 1 and 11 years old, and last approximately one hour. Three groups are working in partnership to put on the event, the Kingston Co-op Preschool, Kingston Junior High School Builders Club and the North Kitsap Boys and Girls Club.
