POULSBO — Evening temperatures will dip to 31 degrees Nov. 19, prompting the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management to activate its Severe Weather Shelter Plan.
The shelter will open at 6 p.m. Nov. 19, and will remain open until 7 a.m. Nov. 20. Guests will not be able to check into the shelter after 10 p.m.

The shelter will serve all residents of the area who require safe overnight refuge where none is available. Further activations will be weather dependent. Stay tuned.

For the second year in a row, non-profits in Kitsap County have received a donation of bus tickets from Kitsap Transit. These are used to help homeless individuals get to shelter, DSHS, and doctor appointments.
