Emmalena (Emmie) Dillon

Emmalena (Emmie) Dillon, 94, passed away on June 3 at Bay Vista Commons in Bremerton.

Emmie was born on Aug. 4, 1921, in Murdo, South Dakota, to John and Mary Krogman. She worked at PSNS as part of the war effort from the early 1940s until she retired in 1977. Since retiring, she spent her time doing the things she enjoyed, especially making quilts.

Emmie met and married Sylvester (Vester) Dillon in 1960 and has one daughter, Debbie, who lives in Silverdale with her husband Paul Ofsthun; and one grandson, Ryan McQueen, of Bremerton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and all 13 siblings.
