POULSBO — A fatality car accident closed State Route 307, also known as Bond Road, near Sawdust Hill Road at about 8:22 a.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.
One person was killed in the crash, WSP officials said. Bond Road was reopened at about 10:45 a.m. when the accident was cleared.
The cause and details of the accident is unknown currently, but the WSP is inves at 8:22 am.
The driver of a full-size pickup collided with a compact car, killing the driver of the car. The driver of the pickup was uninjured.
There were multiple car collisions this morning, including a five car pile-up on the Hood Canal Bridge. With the icy conditions that will blanket the area for the next several days, firefighters urge drivers to slow down and leave plenty of stopping distance.
