South Kitsap residents enjoyed spectacular weather for the opening of the community’s annual Fathoms o’Fun festivities this past weekend.

The events kicked off at 8:30 Saturday morning with the horseshoe tournament, followed at 9 by the HotFoot 5K Run.

Both events were held at the South Kitsap Community Park.

The Vendor and Craft Fair continued at Waterfront Park all aftenoon, as did live concerts in the park pavilion.

The day concluded with the Fathoms Grand Parade on Saturday night.

The Fathoms finale will be the Fourth of July fireworks display along the Port Orchard waterfront.
