Festival of Arts awards given to NKSD students

At the June 27 North Kitsap School District board meeting, interim superintendent Rachel Davenport presented the Festival of Arts Superintendent Purchase Award to a group of student artists.

Held at Kingston Middle School, the festival showcased a variety of visual and performing arts, an NKSD Facebook post states. At the board meeting, the award winners, whose works will be displayed in the permanent gallery at the Student Support Center, were recognized.

“It is truly inspiring to see the talent and artistic expression displayed by our students,” Davenport said. “These young artists have created beautiful works of art and have brought pride and recognition to our school district.”
