POULSBO — Fifth-graders from The Island School recently delivered 81 pounds of food to North Kitsap Fishline and many boxes of holiday food to Helpline House on Bainbridge Island.

Food banks at Fishline and Helpline provide everyday and holiday meal ingredients to area families in need.

Since 1977, The Island School has been educating children from Bainbridge and Kitsap County in kindergarten through fifth grade.
