A passerby called 911 around 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 15 to report a home completely engulfed in flames just off Seabeck-Holly Road and Stavis Drive in Central Kitsap.
Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue crews responded in less than 12 minutes and forced entry through the home’s locked gate. No one was found inside the four-bedroom, rambler-style home.
Firefighters used more than 9,000 gallons of water from multiple water tenders to battle the blaze.
The homeowner arrived home late in the morning after being contacted by a relative.
The house, worth approximately $230,000, has been deemed a complete loss and the fire remains under investigation by the Kitsap County Fire Marshal’s Office.
