The South Kitsap Community Transition Program (SKCTP) will host a luncheon in appreciation of first responders on Oct. 17 at 11 a.m., the Community Transition Building, 751 Mitchell Ave.

The luncheon will be a chili cook-off and the first responders will compete to see who has the best chili in South Kitsap. SKCTP will provide French bread, cornbread, and drinks and is seeking donations to help cover the cost of luncheon items.
