Fish Park’s colorful guests gone missing

The last edition of the North Kitsap Herald published an article about the Poulsbo Middle School Leo’s Club art project in Fish Park.

The project was designed to give young children walking through the park with their families a game to play as they tried to locate pictures of fish and trolls painted on wood rounds and mounted on rebar.

Unfortunately, there was some confusion about this project and the painted rocks that are displayed throughout the park.

Unlike the painted fish and trolls, the painted rocks can be taken home or moved about the park, but the former, were intended to stay in place.

On behalf of the children who painted the pictures and the ones who are looking for them, the Poulsbo Noon Lions Club is asking that the painted fish and trolls be returned to the park.

“We are sorry for the confusion and want to thank all those who made this project a success,” said Sherri Burch who inspired the project.
