Four injured after truck driver loses control

BREMERTON — A 52-year-old Bremerton man was charged with negligent driving, according to a Washington State Patrol report, after he crashed his pickup truck into another vehicle Feb. 6.

BREMERTON — A 52-year-old Bremerton man was charged with negligent driving, according to a Washington State Patrol report, after he crashed his pickup truck into another vehicle Feb. 6.

According to the WSP, the man was driving a 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck along Fairgrounds Road toward State Route 303 around 8 p.m.

At that time, a 45-year-old Bremerton man was traveling north on SR303 in a 2011 Ford Fusion sedan.

The driver of the pickup turned onto southbound SR303, cut off another motorist, lost control, drove over a three-foot curb and crashed into the sedan. The crash occurred near the intersection with Echo Drive.

The driver of the pickup and three people in the sedan were injured and transported to Harrison Medical Center. All four were wearing seat belts.

Both vehicles were totaled.

A 45-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy were passengers in the sedan.
