Four Kitsap County teenagers survived a rollover crash near the 4600 block of Seabeck-Holly Road NW, near the Seabeck post office, on Thursday evening.

According to a Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputy’s report, the 17-year-old Belfair driver admitted that she’d driven the car, a 2002 Ford Mustang convertible, at speeds around 100 miles per hour in an area where the speed limit changed from 35 miles per hour to 45 miles per hour.

The car was traveling north on Seabeck-Holly Road when it fishtailed into the southbound lane, according to a deputy who witnessed the accident.

The driver overcorrected and left the road off the shoulder of the southbound lane.

The car was found 150 feet off the road overturned in dense brush.

All of the occupants — including an 18-year-old Port Orchard man, an 18-year-old Seabeck man, and a 17-year-old female from Silverdale — were found trapped in the vehicle, but conscious and breathing.

The Silverdale woman had “serious, but non-life-threatening injuries,” and the rest were treated and released from a hospital.

The Mustang was impounded. Deputies said they did not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, but the investigation is still open.
