SHINE – Motorists can expect four 90-minute closures of the Hood Canal Bridge between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25 while crews adjust draw span bumpers. The bridge draw spans must be opened to complete the work, a Washington State Department of Transportation press release states.
There will be two closures each night. After the first closure each night, there will be a 15-minute travel window during which drivers can cross the bridge before the second closure begins.
The WSDOT completed replacing the bridge’s east half and east and west trusses June 3, but work on the project will continue through December 2009. For more information, visit www.HoodCanalBridge.com.
