Enjoy a turkey dinner and then pour ice-cold water over your head for dessert to raise funds for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis­­ — also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

The dinner and ice bucket challenge is being held in honor of Silverdale attorney Darrell Uptegraft, who was diagnosed with ALS this year. The cost is $15.

All proceeds will go to the ALS Association.

The fundraiser will be Oct. 11 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the 19th Hole Bar and Grille, 2171 Erlands Point Road N.W. in Bremerton.

Uptegraft works with the firm Ryan, Uptegraft & Montgomery, Inc., in Silverdale.

His wife, Kacey, is a teacher at Mountain View Middle School in Bremerton.
