PRESIDENT’S HONOR ROLL
PULLMAN — Thirty-two Bremerton students were named to Washington State University’s President’s Honor Roll for spring semester. They were Cari Burnham, Jacob Burnham, Paige Burnham, Angela Burns, Celena Canode, Kelly Cronin, Janna Davis, Angela Gallip, Karen Goetz, Lauren Goss, Kevin Green, Kimberly Hansen, Rachel Harvey, Angela Hosking, Morgan Huff, Kathryn Jewett, Christopher Johnson, Hanna Maeng, Casey Marett, Joseph Massey, Kristin Nelson, Kristofor Nyquist, Carmel Palmer, Benjamin Petroski, Iliana Petrova, Aaron Prescott, Dominique Ragains, Donald Richard, Sharleen Riddle, James Ryan, Mia Swartwood and Lindsay Werdall.
To be eligible, a full-time student must earn a 3.75 GPA for the semester or have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
PRESIDENT’S LIST
SPOKANE — Bridget Anderson of Bremerton was named to the president’s list at Gonzaga University for spring semester 2008. Students must earn a 3.7 or better grade point average to be listed.
SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED
The East Bremerton Rotary Club recently awarded scholarships to three 2008 graduates of Olympic High School to attend Olympic College.
Megan McGannon was awarded $2,000 in a two-year academic scholarship and plans to become a teacher. Cameron Yeik was awarded a two-year academic scholarship of $2,000 and plans to study biological science to become a veterinarian. Jamee Paluay received a $2,000 two-year scholarship and plans to obtain her degree in nursing.
Each year, the East Bremerton Rotary Club awards $6,000 in scholarships to graduates of Olympic High School to attend Olympic College. This year’s selection committee chairperson was Dale Robinson.
