BOARD MEMBER SOUGHT
The Kitsap County Board of Commissioners is seeking applications from citizens interested in public service on the Peninsula Regional Support Network (PRSN) Advisory Board.
The 15-member board is required by the state to provide policy guidance and program oversight for mental health programs in Kitsap, Jefferson and Clallam counties. The board also helps determine procedures and a service plan for the delivery of mental health services in all three counties. The advisory board meets on the first Thursday of the month at 1 p.m. in Port Hadlock. Board members are volunteers who serve without compensation except for a travel allowance.
Persons with disabilities, racial and ethnic minorities, mental health consumers and their family members are encouraged to apply.
For an application packet, contact Kitsap County Volunteer Services Coordinator Jan Koske at (360) 337-4650 or Peninsula Regional Support Network at (800) 525-5637. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Aug. 7.
