GRANT FUNDS AVAILABLE
Kitsap Community Foundation recently announced it is currently accepting grant applications for its 2009 grant cycle.
Grants will be made to qualified, non-profit organizations and those interested are encouraged to review the grant application criteria and guidelines at www.kitsapfoundation.org.

FOUNDATION GRANTS AWARDED
Literacy Council of Kitsap and the Immigrant Assistance Center were recently awarded grants of $5,000 each from the Wal-Mart Foundation.
The council, which provides a wide range of literacy services including English as a Second Language courses and GED preparation classes, often partners with the Immigrant Assistance Center to provide English and cultural literacy classes to new immigrants in the community.
