VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Kitsap Mall is looking for female volunteers to create wellness bags for local cancer patients. The mall is joining its 64 shopping centers across the country to create more than 30,000 wellness bags for female cancer patients nationwide in the one-day “Step Out Step Up” event. The wellness bags will be distributed locally to female cancer patients through Harrison Medical Center just in time for Mother’s Day.

“Step Out Step Up” volunteers will enjoy appetizers and refreshments, free massages and free makeovers.

Kitsap Mall is hosting the event to introduce its new partnership with the Step Up Women’s Network, a national non-profit membership organization dedicated to strengthening local community resources for women and girls.

“Step Out Step Up” will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at Kitsap Mall and volunteers should check with guest services for the exact location. Call Angie Pomeroy at (360) 698-2555 or e-mail her at angie.pomeroy@macerich.com by May 6 to sign up to volunteer.
