The presidential race between Kalama Harris and Donald Trump is the headline, but Kitsap County voters will decide winners of federal, state, county and local races Nov. 5.
General Election ballots will be mailed to voters in the county Oct. 18. Vote centers will be open Nov. 2 and 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Voters Pamphlet is already available online at kitsapgov.com
Anyone 18 and older on Election Day can vote. To register go to www.VoteWa.gov. Online and mail registration, updates and changes are due Oct. 28. People can register in person up until 8 p.m. Election Day at the County Auditor’s Office, Poulsbo Fire Station, Marvin Williams Recreation Center in Bremerton and county Administration Building.
There are 27 drop boxes around the county where ballots can be submitted up until 8 p.m. Election Day. In the last presidential election in 2020 turnout in Kitsap was 84%. Since then the highest was two years ago at 66%. The other eight elections during that time had turnouts as low as 28% and as high as 44%.

Federal: Kamala D. Harris/Tim Walz v. Donald J. Trump/JD Vance, president and vice president; plus eight others; Maria Cantwell v. Dr. Raul Garcia, U.S. senator; Emily Randall v. Drew C. MacEwen, U.S. representative.
State offices: Bob Ferguson v. Dave Reichert, governor; Denny Heck v. Dan Matthews, Lt. governor; Steve Hobbs v. Dale Whitaker, secretary of state; Mike Pellicciotti v. Sharon Hanek, treasurer; Pat McCarthy v. Matt Hawkins, auditor; Pete Serrano v. Nick Brown, attorney general; Jaime Herrera Beutler v. Dave Upthegrove, lands commissioner; Chris Reykdal v. David Olson, schools chief; Patty Kuderer v. Phil Fortunado, insurance commissioner; Sal Mungia v. Dave Larson, Supreme Court justice.
