SHINE — Because of weather, crews working for the state Department of Transportation have postponed the six-hour closure of Highway 104/Hood Canal Bridge scheduled March 24.
Instead, the bridge will operate as normal. The span will remain open to traffic subject to typical closures for marine vessels.
Depending on weather and favorable tides, crews will resume a series of six-hour night closures in early April. WSDOT will announce those closures as they are scheduled. The closures are a key part of a WSDOT project to rebuild and replace the internal mechanics of the Hood Canal Bridge draw span.
