North Kitsap residents will have the chance to discuss traffic and noise issues surrounding Hood Canal Bridge at a meeting in Port Gamble.

The meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 4 at St. Paul’s Church on State Route 104. State Department of Transportation representatives are expected to attend. Topics will include the need for a bridge holding lane on State Route 3, the frequency of bridge openings and noise related to the bridge. Call Bill Boston at (360) 697-7354 for information.

The state Department of Transportation announced Thursday that completion of construction on the bridge is being delayed beacuse Transportation engineers are concerned about poor performance of the hydraulic system on the west span.
